Why bother?

Why does the evidence matter?

Have any of these questions ever crossed your mind?

Hasn’t science disproved that there is a God?
If there is a God, how can He allow the suffering?
How can Christianity be true if all the other religions say they’re the correct way to God? Why does it matter? Are they not ALL baloney?
It all happened 2,000 years ago. How could we possibly know if Jesus came back from the dead?
What about all the religious wars in the past?
What about all the terrorism and fundamentalism today?
What possible relevance does Christianity have for my life?
Do you really expect me to align myself with fundamentalists, the weak minded, the gullible and old ladies*?

*Apologies to old ladies. Some of the greatest Christians I have met are “Old Ladies”.

I’m sure you have questions you can add to the above list. These are hard questions for anyone to answer. If I’m honest, some of them are hard for Christians to answer too.

If Jesus was just a religious teacher, you can safely ignore Christianity – and get on with living your earthly life. But if there’s any chance He really was the Son of God, that changes things, doesn’t it?

Perhaps the first thing to do is see if there is sound evidence for Jesus. This website might be a good place to start.
